Harrogate Calling
Lockwood Brass became the North of England Third Section champions at the Darlington Dolphin Centre on Saturday. The bands first appearance in the Third Section saw them playing the Vizcaya by Gilbert Vinter against eight other bands from the region.
John Roberts conducted the band through a great performance that saw adjudicator David Read place the band first by three clear points. The victory means that the band will be performing at the National Finals in September, which this year are being held at the National Conference Centre, Harrogate.
Well done to the band and John for all their hard work.
