On Saturday 18th December some of the band played Christmas carols around some of the pubs in the North Yorkshire Moors. At one of the pubs, the Fox & Hounds in Danby, this led to a conversation with BBC Fame Academy runner-up 2003 - Alistair Griffin, who lives locally. Alistair was having a drink in his local and invited the band to play as support for his last gig of the year, which was being held, at Temple Hall, St Johns University in York the following night. Telephone numbers were exchanged and as next morning arrived doubts arose as to whether the alcohol had fazed the conversation.
This proved not to be the case as a call from Alistair confirmed that he did want the band to play at York. The band arrived as Alistair was having his sound check and the band set up to entertain the audience before Alistair's performance. The capacity crowd who had travelled from all over the country enjoyed the Christmas music provided by the band both before the gig and during the interval.
