Championship Debut

Lockwood Brass made their Championship debut on Sunday at Darlington's Dolphin Centre performing Salute to Youth. The run up to the contest was soured by the fact that the band's Flugel Horn, Fiona, was taken ill the night before the contest and wasn't able to perform. Many thanks go to Stacey from The Felling Band for helping out. Add to that a percussionist breaking down outside of Darlington and only making it with minutes to spare and it was not best preparation.

Despite everything that happened before the contest, the band put in a really pleasing performance and came away in sixth along with the prize for best percussion (well done to Kieran, Chris and Simon).
